We named this piece Sian Ka’an after the Mayan phrase for the place where the sky begins. Tribute to that vast, sacred stillness above us. When I first saw the veining on this black marble, it reminded me of clouds drifting across a night sky.
It now lives by the door in my home. Holding keys, sunglasses, small things that mark our comings and goings.
Simple, solid, and calm—like the feeling of stepping outside and looking up.
